Preface to the Psalmes (detail)
"Preface to the Psalmes" (detail). MS. Fairfax 40, The Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford.

In the first stage of this project, I have made accessible the Psalm translations from MS. Fairfax 40 that I was able to photograph and transcribe before lockdown. More transcriptions will follow in due course.

The links on the right (or below if using a phone or tablet) take you to images from the manuscript, with accompanying transcriptions and modernised texts.

The designation "[Reed]" indicates that the poem appears in Reed's edition.

I am indebted to the Bodleian Libraries for permission to use images of this manuscript on these webpages. Please note that they must not be downloaded or used for any commercial use.
